Battle Wounds

Hey everyone,

It has been awhile and not much has happened lately. One new thing I thought blog worthy was a couple of photos of my floor burns from our recent intramurals playoff bball game. I dove on the grounds too many times to count and paid the price for it. We won though, so that is what matters most!!!

It's Red Snapper Time

Hey everybody!!! Not much is going on as of late. I wanted to cook something new again, so I bought this red snapper and Kylie and I baked it with some king crab legs. It was called Snapper Livornese. It was pretty good, but I must say I'm not the biggest fan of capers even though Kylie was eating them left and right.

The fish was from Thailand and I had to gut it and everything. It was quite an adventure. Other than that I just have been taking tests and snowboarding a little. The season is winding down though. Ashley's father Paul is in town with his brother for a ski weekend. Paul took me to the Canyons ski resort and it was so fun. I did take one tumble that drew blood, but I had a great time with him. Ashley has the coolest family!!!!! Well until next time, stay classy viewers!!

Gotta love TJ MAXX!!!

So Kylie, Ashley, and I used to always go to Ross and TJ MAXX together. This Saturday Kylie and I went to remember old times. We saw these delightful coats for sale and almost bought them. They were only lke 50 bucks. For those of you that dont know, Kylie has been Ashley's roommate since freshman year. I think Ashley told Kylie to take care of me this semester. because she invites me over still, we try recipes together sometimes, and lets me hangout with her friends. This has allowed me to maintain at least a little bit of a social life since Ashley has been in Jerusalem. Before that Ashley was my social life. So thank you Kylie. Besides that, I haven't done much because I had a bunch of tests last week. I think I have only one this week...hooray!!! Oh yeah, I bought a red snapper fish that was for sale and I'm going to try a new recipe to see how well I can cook fish. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snowboarding! I know, I know, it's all I do!

So today was my last snowboard class at Sundance. My instructor's name was Adam and he was awesome. My roommate Tyson and I took some videos of each other doing jumps, they are not that good, due to extreme leg fatigue and being a novice. I was so tired at the end of the day. I do believe though that they are better than the previous ones. I hope that you all enjoy!!! Other than that I haven't been doing much. I have been working out every day though, and I'm going to do just that as soon as I post this blog. Ashley is also working out in Jerusalem on top of all her field trips an homework. She is such an amazing person. I love her so much. She gave our workout routine a name called Project Hotness. So ladies and gentlemen beware, I will be hot, and Ashley is already but will be even more amazing!!! (I don't know how that is possible, but that is the goal). I know we'll be flooded with emails, but no we won't be available, we're only dating amongst ourselves! Thanks for subscribing folks to my blog and have a wonderful day, I know I will!!!

Hey so my snowboarding extravaganza was amazing today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of new powder. I did a lot of jumps and landed almost all of them! Man it was so fun. I was able to get these photos as well of the bull elk that were in the an earlier post. I also got this moose that was so cool! So many exclamations!!!!!! That's because it has been such a good day. I got a package from the Kenner family that was so thoughtfully prepared. Ashley got her roommate here to make me some cookies, and I spoke to Ashley on the phone. I will hopefully talk to all my siblings today, so yeah it has been a good day!!!!!!! Happy Valentine's to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chimichangas

So here is just a quick post. I don't really have anything new going on in my life. I decided to cook something and post it, so here is my chimichangas. They were delicious. I made Mexican food because Ashley is really craving it and I want to be good at it for when she comes back! ;) It is almost Valentine's Day so happy V-Day to all especially Ashley! I'm going snowboarding tomorrow so wish me luck. I am actually starting to get good, and I can fly down the mountain. See ya'll!!!

Sundance!!!

Snowboarding at Sundance was a blast on Thursday! I guess that all my postings so far have to deal with snowboarding. The first clip shows me falling & the second one I at least made it. Props to my roommate Tyson for his amazing filming. I promise that I'm still keeping up with my classes. Today is January 25th so that means it's Kirk's birthday today. Hooray! He's 32! Well, I talked to Ashley today & she is getting ready to go to Egypt on Sunday. She will be gone for 8 days. No contact so that will be hard, but we'll survive.

Snowboarding at Sundance!!!

Hello everyone (especially Ashley, I love you!)
So I just got back from snowboarding and it was awesome. There was a ton of powder and my instructor was really cool. As I got home I read an email from Ashley and she just informed me that Heath Ledger just died so that's sad. Well back to good things, it is still snowing here on the valley floor. As my roommate Tyson and I were leaving the resort, I was looking on the mountainside for wildlife. Two times ago I saw a moose and was wishing I had my camera. Well this time I was prepared but it was cold and the lens kept on fogging up. I at least got this picture of some ELK!!!!!!! The best part though is that there were three BIG bull elk together that were all at least 5 by 5's. I even hiked up about 50 yards closer in about 4 feet of powder and got pretty close. Probably about 50 yards from them. I didn't get any closer after one stamped its feet at me. What a fun experience! Maybe one of these days I can get a movie of me going off a jump or something on a snowboard!!!!!!!

So this is my first blog entry, and my first picture includes myself and my favorite person in the world, Ashley Kenner!!!!!! Ashley is currently on an amazing study abroad in Jerusalem. I guess anyone that would care to see this blog already knows that;). So lately I've just been missing Ashley, snowboarding, and trying to keep up with school. I have been cooking a lot. This week I made General Tsao's chicken, fettuccine alfredo, and ribs with baked potato. Thanks to Ashley's mother, I am now a proud owner of a bread machine and I am baking up a storm! Also I bought a sewing machine. I swear I am not a girl I just know my mother always wanted me to be educated in all aspects of life. I feel that this is a way I can still be connected with her. I must say I am having such a fun time doing these things and it has been a very positive experience. I'll try to take pictures of my final products and post them.
